Size Is Everything! – The BIG Banner Stands Revolution

If you are familiar with exhibitions and the equipment required to put on a proper display, you will have no doubt come across the staple product of any of these displays – the humble Banner Stand. The average size for these stands is roughly 85cm wide by 2 metres tall, which provides more than enough visual area to get your message across to prospective customers/clients. There is a drawback however; everyone else has a similar display. In small to medium exhibitions these big banner stands are ubiquitous, but with good reason.

Stand banner provide a balance between economy and portability, the latter being the main factor in their popularity. However, if you are willing to think outside the box a little, your stand could outshine your competitors with only a little extra budget.

As mentioned previously, the average size of a banner stand is 85cm x 2 metres. This is the standard size but by no means your only option. Depending on your exhibition space you can increase this size both horizontally and vertically to create some awe-inspiring displays.

If you are displaying in an exhibition hall with plenty of ceiling space, you may want to consider increasing the height of your banner stand.

Banner stands can be manufactured with heights of up to 3 metres tall, enabling your display to tower over the average 2 metre display height and increase visibility in a busy exhibition environment. This is a real bonus when the average cost to rent an exhibition space can range in the thousands. What you will find is that the increased cost in purchasing an oversized banner will more than pay for itself with increased interest in you business at your event.

An alternative to a very tall display would be a very wide big banner stands.

These can be manufactured in sizes that average 2 metres tall by 1 metre, 1.2 metres, 1.5 metres and 2 metres wide. Any of these stands would increase the impact of your display greatly, but if you really want to blow people away you may want to consider an even larger option.

At a height of 2.4 metres tall, the largest banners can be manufactured at widths of 2.4 metres and even 3.2 metres. If you consider the scale of this, the visual area is larger than an expensive 3×3 pop up frame! These displays dwarf most other exhibits to the point where it is impossible not to pay attention to them. These banners are also more economical and simpler to set up than a similar sized pop up display system with fiddly graphic panels.

Imagine a single printed graphic, 2.4 metres tall by 3.2 metres wide that simply retracts back into its base when you are finished for easy transportation home in a Transit van or similar sized vehicle.

With the recession not yet over, businesses are still reluctant to put money into exhibitions and tend to try and limit their budget whichever way they can. This is often counter productive and could mean an exhibition is a complete waste of time if no one takes any notice of what is on offer, no matter how fantastic the products or services are. With a little extra budget, your exhibition display can move beyond the realms of average and become spectacular.
